Mr. Gil G. Garcia, LCDFI official representative joined the 3rd quarter CSAG quarry monitoring on August 16-19 and 23-24, 2021 and September 6-9 and 13-14, 2021 for ISAG. LCDFI is a regular member as NGO representative to the Mine Rehabilitation Fund Committee (MRFC) and its Multi-Partite Monitoring Team (MMT). The team members were representatives from Provincial Government of La Union- Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGLU-ENRO), DENR-Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), and Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) with municipal LGU counterparts and LCDFI as NGO representative of the private sector. Quarry monitoring is done quarterly to make sure quarry protocols are being observed to preserve the rivers where quarry operations are being undertaken.
